Mountain Horse Active Winter Rider
The Mountain Horse Ladies Active Winter Rider is a serious riding boot designed to withstand the winter cold. The hard wearing and waterproof outer shell is complemented by a warm and cozy faux fur lining.
The elastic insert in the leg is 50% stretchier than past Mountain Horse elastic making for an even better fit. The boot has been tested to withstand one million flexes in 14 different temperatures while the steel shank continues to provide stability.
“I absolutely love these boots. They are warm, comfortable, have give, and aren’t overly bulky for a winter boot. I was able to break them in easily. I think it took 1 ride. They fit around my calf without any problems, and I’ll definitely be able to put winter riding pants on with them. These are a must have, and I know they’ll last as I have other Mountain Horse boots that are indestructible!” – RCEquestrian (Smartpak Customer).
“I bought these boots last winter and absolutely love them. I wanted a winter boot that didn’t have a lot of bulk so they slid in and out of the stirrup. These do just that! Most of the time temps were about 20 degrees and my feet stayed toasty. One ride was in -5, I added toe warmers and still stayed very warm. I had no break in time either. Put on and ride. My only complaint is the zippers. They stick, they take some work to zip up every time. Highly recommend to fellow Fox Hunters!” – Krissy (Dover Saddlery customer).
Mountain Horse Ice High Rider III Tall
Ice High Rider Tall Boots provide warmth without bulk. This advanced multi-purpose winter boot has a foot part made in the waterproof Hydro-Tech material. The shaft is made of strong Duralon with heat insulating Thermolite lining to keep your legs and feet warm.
“These boots are amazingly warm. The fit is excellent and very comfortable once broken in. I have the original Rimfrost Riders, which I love, but they are 13-years-old, and the sole is falling off. I decided to buy the sleeker versions this time for stirrup purposes, and I’m glad I did. These boots are just as warm but have a more refined look. Great boot for the price!” – EquineRider30 (Smartpak customer)
Mountain Horse Rimfrost Rider III Tall Boot
The Rimfrost Rider tall boot is widely recognized as the supreme winter riding boot. It comes lined with Thermolite in order to keep your feet and legs warmer and dryer. The built-in gusset and velcro closures allow for a nice snug fit around the various layers you choose to wear throughout the colder weather.
“I have had tons of comments on the styling of my boots but most of all I like how light on my feet they are for a winter boot as well as the extra room allowance for two pairs of socks. Quite comfortable, too.” – Kathy (EquestrianCollections customer)

“These boots kept my feet toasty-warm all winter. They’re comfortable for riding or working around the barn. They held up well against the snow and rain. I recommend these to anyone one who suffers from cold feet (literally) while riding!” – Michelle (Adams Horse Supplies customer).
“Pictures can’t even do these boots justice; they are soooo pretty in real life! I bought them simply because I needed new tall boots, and also wanted ones that would keep my feet warm. The fluff inside lines the whole boot and is just super awesome! I was so excited when these came in the mail… by far the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn; they’re a great price for their quality! Can’t wait to ride in them! They are definitely true to size. I’m a size 7 normally so that’s what I ordered, and they fit perfectly over my tall boot socks and breeches. They’re a little bit tall, but I’m 5’1″ so I expected that, and they’ll drop when I start riding in them. Can’t speak for durability since I just got them today, but I love, love, love these boots!“- FancyPony (StatelineTack customer)
